Sardinia Kitesurf School

Alessandro, the head instructor IKO L2 (http://www.ikointl.com/) certified, and his crew will lead you in the awesome world of kiteboarding.
The patents of kite instructor of FKI association and IKO assure you a good and reliable training, a training where safety is a must.

The IKO frequently evaulate its instructors with a quality control, so you can trust that the IKO instructors have a technical knowledge and teaching methodology .. several light years far from other instructors!
You reach the instructor IKO level L2 after 160 hour of lesson, more than 25 students , an overall positive students feedback more 90% and a good votation on the exam (mine 93/100!!!)

We do only private lessons.
With an instructor at your side 100% of the time, we are able to accelerate the pace of the lessons, and ensure you learn in the shortest possible time, and with an approach which focuses 100% on your needs every moment of the class. Whilst seemingly expensive when compared to group courses, private lessons are more intensive, and therefore you will learn more in less time.

We use radio helmets and Kite Video Clinic System.
To provide you an advanced teaching methods we the use radio communication (radio helmet and headset) on the water for immediate feedback for fast learning - and video feedback if it makes sense.
The video camera is used for course C and optionally for course B

Safety: our dinghy and is driver are ever available during the whole kiting day.

Kitesurfing is an extreme sport. So only an extreme safety is the right key to get in the awesome world of kitesurfing.

"4 Deadly Mistakes in Choosing a School"
  • Non IKO-certified School: the IKO is the most important teaching organization of the world. The selection of instructor is very hard, and frequently the IKO check their quality level of all instructor. After a course the student give a feedback on the training and instructors, every year the IKO make a rewiev of the lesson plan, so all schools of the world follow the same methodology.
  • Inadequate Communication: typically, in schools with few instructors, you will be given some instructions, then left alone in the water to "learn by trying yourself" while drifting away for 15-30 minutes, then you will be met by your instructor further downwind. You will only be given additional advices during your "walk of shame" (walking upwind on the beach while carrying your gear). Once back at your starting point, the instructor will help you launch again and repeat for another 30 minutes. During your 3-4 hours of kitesurfing "lessons", you will actually receive less than 40 minutes of useful instructions. So here is one tip that alone can save you 2-3 days of tuition: choose one of the many kite schools that now teach with in-helmet waterproof radio transmitters (a.k.a: "Radio Helmets) ! The instructor will be able to give you "real time" instructions when they count most : while you are practising in the water. It will be helpful for you !
  • Group Lessons: By choosing kitesurfing lessons with the lowest student per instructor ratio, you will learn better and safer as you will have more of your instructor’s undivided attention. Rule of thumb is that you will learn kitesurfing at least twice as fast with a private instructor, thus don’t hesitate to pay twice the hourly group rate !A typical "one day" lesson can last between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the kiteboarding school, but this is little relevance.
  • Beach Kitesurfing Lessons There is a limit to what your teacher can see from the beach. Prefer instructors that follow you on the water with boats or jet skis and give you “real-time” instructions. Once you've reached an intermediate level, try to find private kiteboarding lessons with an instructor who is kiteboarding himself as he teaches. This is extremely valuable as the teacher can show you the exact move that he wants you to reproduce, and then advise you via radio as you try. By now, you should be ready to call a kiteschool... but wait! First, seize the below limited opportunity to a week of “radio” taught private lessons in a dream location. You will not regret it !
